NSAI SR50-2:2024 & SEAI DTSS v4.2 Compliant

National Radiator Flow & Low-Flow Heat Pump Sizing Simulator

The #1 reason Irish heat pump installations fail is undersized radiators operating at 45°C low flow temperatures. Build your room-by-room schedule below to discover exactly which radiators pass and get the certified NSAI replacement sizes.

Why Delta-T 30 Radiator Sizing Matters for Irish Heat Pumps

Traditional Irish kerosene and gas boilers pump water through radiators at scorching temperatures of 75°C (Delta-T 50). Modern Air-to-Water Heat Pumps, however, operate at their highest seasonal efficiency (COP 3.8 to 4.2) when heating water to a gentle 45°C (Delta-T 30).

Under the laws of thermodynamics (EN 442 European Standard), a radiator operating at 45°C emits approximately 48% of its rated 75°C output. If a contractor installs a heat pump without resizing undersized single-panel radiators, your heat pump will be forced to operate at high flow temperatures, burning hundreds of extra Euros in electricity each winter and risking SEAI grant disqualification.
